Welcome to Preschool at Crown Leadership Academy!

We embrace the beauty of God’s creation by incorporating outdoor exploration and nature-based learning into our daily routine. Through on-campus field trips through nature trails and interactive activities, students engage with the world around them in meaningful ways — all while feeling safe, supported, and loved. Our program also focuses on social development, encouraging children to build friendships, practice kindness, and develop essential communication skills. Each day is an opportunity to grow academically, socially, and spiritually — preparing your child for a confident and successful transition into kindergarten.

Meet the Teacher

My name is Hannah, and I’m thrilled to be leading our preschool class for 3 and 4 year olds. I have been teaching for 13 years, with the last 10 of those years spent right here at Crown Leadership Academy — a place I’m proud to call home. At Crown, we believe that children learn best in a loving, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment. Our classroom is filled with hands-on learning experiences designed to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

✨ Play, Learn, Grow – Building Bright Foundations

Math – "Number Navigation"

Description: In Number Navigation, young learners explore numbers, patterns, shapes, and problem-solving through hands-on activities, games, and real-world applications. From counting with manipulatives to building early geometry skills with blocks, math comes to life in meaningful ways.

Example Project: "Tiny Town Builders"– Students design a miniature town using shapes, numbers, and measurement concepts.

Literacy - “Story Sproats”

Description:  Story Sprouts cultivates a love of language through storytelling, phonemic awareness, early writing, and interactive read-alouds. Literacy is woven into everyday play, fostering communication skills and a strong foundation for future reading and writing. There will also be a letter focus each week, during that week the letter will be the focus for all activities.

Example Project: "Adventure Journals" – Students create their own picture books based on class adventures using coloring pages, leaf and plant rubbings, and diagrams.

Science – "Curious Explorers"

Description: Curious Explorers encourages preschoolers to ask questions, make observations, and experiment with the world around them. Science is discovered through sensory play, outdoor investigations, and simple experiments that spark curiosity and critical thinking.

Example Project: “Little Gardeners" – Children plant seeds, track growth, and learn about life cycles through hands-on gardening.

Art – "Pedal Painters"

Description:  In “Pedal Painters”, preschoolers express themselves through drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Art is a vehicle for storytelling, problem-solving, and sensory exploration, reinforcing cross-curricular learning and fine motor development.

Example Project: "Nature Prints" – Children collect leaves, flowers, and natural materials to create unique stamped artwork.

Social-Emotional Learning – "Heart & Hands"

Description: “Heart & Hands” helps young learners develop emotional intelligence, empathy, and teamwork through play, discussion, and role-playing. Children build friendships, practice communication, and learn how to navigate big feelings in a supportive environment.

Example Project: "Kindness Chain"– Every time a child shows kindness, they add a link to a class paper chain, visually reinforcing community and empathy.
