Our Story
Crown began when a group of educators, parents, and business leaders gathered together and dreamed of creating a learning environment that would challenge learners to be critical thinkers, ready to lead in our communities and the world. Leaders who love people well, express themselves with creativity, and walk in wisdom and integrity mark the culture that was created.
Seven students and two teachers pioneered Crown Leadership Academy in a one room schoolhouse in an office building on Coleman Blvd in Mt. Pleasant, SC. As we grew, we met for two years at Holy Cross on Sullivan’s Island, before moving into one of our current locations on Wakendaw Road in Mt. Pleasant. Our North Charleston campus opened in 2019 at North Palm Community Church.
